Orange Eyes
Sherry Hicks and Michael Velez came to my work today and it was AMAZING. They are so talented it’s ridiculous. They kids were going crazy, everyone loved it.
As I said before, Sherry has done amazing research in bimodal bilingualism and it’s a very interesting read. Anyway, here is some video I took from today. If you want to know more about them or book them for an event you can go to half-n-half.com

Jerry Springer came to UR last night and gave an amazing speech on the current political issues of this country. Yes, he talked about his show. and yes, we all chanted “JERRY JERRY JERRY JERRY” as he walked on stage. His show may be stupid (his words exactly), but he is very bright, understanding, and insightful.
So glad I got to see that side of him. Just shows you how bad the media can make you look! At least he doesn’t give a flying fuck. He even told us that the reason why he still does his show is because the people on it have probably never had anybody listen to them or care about their problems… and this show gives them that opportunity. The opportunity to be heard for once… and to have people rooting for you and cheering your name. Everybody wants that feeling… no matter where you come from, what you do, who you fuck, what your dreams are. we are all human.
